Thiepval Memorial is the largest British Memorial to the missing in the world and it contains the names of 73,357 men, whose bodies were never recovered .
Ulster Tower
The Somme stands on the old German front line and it is a replica of Helen’s Tower in Co Down and where the Ulster Division trained, before going to France. It was the 1st official memorial to be erected on the Western Front and was dedicated on 19/11/1921.
Vimy Ridge:
A vital part of the German defence system captured by the Canadians in April 1917 Vimy Ridge Canadian Memorial is in memory of the 66,000 Canadians, who lost their lives, fighting in WWI.
