Le Touquet Buzzlines Travel Aug 2014
Day trip to Le Touquet,France. Only had just under 4hrs, could of done with a few more hours. Weather not bad overcast, dark clouds, road and streets were wet. We managed to eat out side. We made our way back to beach after looking at a few shops, their we caught the tourist train ( always very useful to find out what's around around 40 minutes. Then started what I wanted to shoot which was the very long beaches and dunes reminds you of Camber sands & Dymchurch although on a much larger scale. Managed a few shots the the rain started and time was running out. Will go back, but will need longer time to explore. Return journey was good up till the point when we boarded the train for the tunnel, it did not even start when we were told there is a problem ( over head cables had come down, approx 4.5 hrs. later we arrived back in Kent. Must say this was our first time we have had problems using the tunnel ( You can get problems with the ferries sometimes too).
To sum up. Was trip worth it yes, just have to take weather and travelling problems as and when they come. Couch as usual was clean and comfortable plenty of leg room. ( have travelled in the Setra coaches on over night trips with no problems.
